My local scrapbooking store,
Scrapbook Workshoppe, is having a boot decorating contest. It is for charity and the funds raised will go to help families of deployed soldiers. To qualify for a prize, you have to have at least three Tim Holtz products used on your boot. I just had to give it a whirl!!! I chose a regular old cowboy boot and spray painted it white. I then used distress ink and Maya Mist to color it and my flowers green. I then cut, painted, inked and glammed up all of the die cuts. Then finished it off with some ribbon, lace and trimmings! I haven't decided what its final purpose will be, but I am imagining it will be a fun place to store my heat gun! If you live locally, I hope you give this challenge a whirl. If you decide you want to alter a boot of your own, send me a link so I can show pictures to my friends at
Scrapbook Workshoppe!
